Actor Ryan McCartan recovering from Halloween health scare

Disney star Ryan Mccartan spent Halloween night in the hospital.

The 23-year-old was struck down with food-poisoning and dehydration on the spookiest day of the year.

Posting a photo of himself at the hospital on Instagram, the Liv & Maddie star actor wrote the caption: "This is how I spent my Halloween after a series of food-poisoning, dehydration and diabetes-related complications...

"Life is precious but fragile, and boy did I get that reminder! Grateful for an amazing sister, family, and friends who quite literally saved my life yesterday. Doing better today - thanks for the well wishes."

The health scare came weeks after Ryan and his girlfriend of four years, actress Dove Cameron, broke off their engagement.
