The Maroon 5 frontman had been enjoying a romantic evening out with the Victoria's Secret beauty on Wednesday (04Aug14) when their date came to an awkward end as the singer's classic 1950s Mercedes-Benz ground to a halt on Sunset Boulevard.
According to TMZ.com, the former The Voice judge had to wait by the roadside with Prinsloo for a friend to bring a can of fuel.
Eyewitnesses noted the My Life singer's mood shifted once passers-by started to notice him, with sources claiming he seemed upset with the attention.
Levine and Prinsloo wed last month (Jul14) in a ceremony in Los Cabos, Mexico.
