Adele, Annie Lennox and Kate Winslet named inspirational women

Adele, Lady Gaga, Annie Lennox and Kate Winslet will be named the world's most inspirational women at an awards gala in London on Friday (07Oct11).

Lennox will receive a lifetime achievement prize at the Inspiration Awards for Women for her years of charity work, while actress Winslet and artist Tracey Emin will also be honoured at the event, which praises the "most inspirational, aspirational and stylish women".

Adele will be handed the Next Generation Inspiration award, while Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys are among the stars nominated in the international category. The ceremony raises money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.
