Officials at cybersecurity firm McAfee have declared searches for Lavigne are most likely to land users on websites that carry viruses, with a 14.5 per cent chance of landing on a web page with the potential for online threats.
Bruno Mars was second, while Carly Rae Jepsen, Zayn Malik, Celine Dion, Calvin Harris, Justin Bieber, and Beyonce all made the top 10.
Lavigne replaces Amy Schumer, who was named the most dangerous celebrity on the Internet in 2016.
