Demi Lovato honours ex Joe Jonas for his friendship

Demi Lovato has heaped praise on her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas for remaining close to her following her rehab stint for emotional issues.

The singer was on tour with the Jonas Brothers in South America when she suffered a meltdown and finally had to face her demons.

She spent months in treatment in 2010 and 2011, but has since bounced back to record a string of hits and will be returning as an X Factor judge/mentor when the reality TV show comes back later this year (13).

And she admits that her ex and his younger brother Nick have been a big part of her recovery.

She explains, "We were in a relationship and we broke up, and at one point, I was really mad at him.

"Now, I can, fortunately, say that him and his brother Nick, have always been there for me, and are literally family, and, like, brothers (to me). We have a great friendship. And we may not be as close as we used to be, but that's OK."
