Last month, we gave you a little taste of the second single from Florence + the Machine ’s upcoming sophomore album, Ceremonials – a gorgeous little track called “Shake It Out.”
Now, the music video for the song has been released, and, as expected, it’s as much a treat for the eyes as it is more the ears! Flo & the Mac have an uncanny way of marrying their languid sound to vivid and sumptuous imagery. It doesn’t hurt that Florence Welch looks like a living statue. In this video, we see her looking just as lovely and classy doing an intense tango in a matronly black gown and pulled back hair as she does letting loose with reckless abandon in a strapless red number and flowing orange locks – no doubt “shaking out” the more reserved black-clad persona from the beginning of the video.
Ain’t no party like a Flo & the Mac party! Put on your mask and fairytale frock and “Shake It Out”!
