Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman re-team for TV comedy

Former Cheers co-stars Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman are reuniting for a new TV comedy series.

The pair, famous for their roles as manager Rebecca Howe and mean-spirited waitress Carla Tortelli in the longrunning hit, are now teaming up for a new small screen project.

Rhea Perlman has signed up to appear in Kirstie Alley's new pilot The Manzanis, about an American Italian family living in a quiet New Jersey neighbourhood. She will play the mother-in-law of Kirstie Alley's matriarch character.
