Lady Gaga spent three days in a coffin before Grammys 'rebirth'

But the bizarre day began with Gaga being wheeled out of her hotel in a mesh box.

The singer's creative director and choreographer Laurieann Gibson explains, "She was incubating and, in birthing the new race, she had to go through a DNA transition, so before she was born we had to actually transfer her in a mesh box to keep the process going."

On The Tonight Show on Monday (14Feb11), the Poker Face hitmaker revealed she spent three days in the mesh coffin.
