Luke Evans and Josh Gad join forces for new comedy

Beauty And The Beast stars Luke Evans and Josh Gad are reuniting for a new comedy.

The actors, who portrayed Gaston and sidekick LeFou, respectively, in the live-action version of the Disney classic, will team up with Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Daisy Ridley for the as-yet-untitled project, which will put "an original spin on the superhero genre", reports Deadline.com.

Gad came up with the idea for the film, and hired Moana story writers Aaron and Jordan Kandell to help turn it into a movie.

He is said to have personally reached out to Evans and Ridley, his new co-star in the upcoming Murder on the Orient Express, to sign on.
