Bosses at a New York City jeweller are asking a judge to award them a default judgment against R&B singer Sean Kingston over unpaid bills for jewelry.

Bosses at Aqua Master hit the Beautiful Girls star with a lawsuit claiming he picked out nine pieces of their high-end jewelry in July (16), costing more than $300,000.

The jeweller alleged Kingston's business manager promised to wire money for the outstanding bill, but instead, he received two cheques - both of which bounced.

According to Bossip.com, Kingston has failed to respond to the lawsuit or show up for court and last week (ends11Nov16), the jewelry bosses asked a judge to award them a total of $616,000 for the accessories, interest, and fees.

This isn't the first time Kingston has been sued for unpaid bling - in March (16), the owners of Haimov Jewelers in Florida filed a similar suit, claiming the star traded in a used Rolex watch in exchange for a new one, and had signed a receipt promising to pay the difference the following day.

However, he allegedly still owed the store the $25,000 balance for the watch, plus the cost of a diamond bracelet, which he also promised payment for.

In 2015, he was ordered to pay $356,000 to New York-based Avid 'Da Jeweler' Davidov for failing to pay for watches, chains, a ring and bracelets between 2008 and 2013, and then attempting to cover the debt with cheques that bounced.
