Shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton is expecting her first child.
The pro-surfer, who lost her arm in the 2003 shark drama which inspired the film Soul Surfer, is preparing to add another member to her family with her husband Adam Dirks.
The couple made the announcement in a video posted online on Sunday (08Feb15), with Hamilton, 25, saying, "So we have a little surprise for you...baby on board!
"In baby terms I'm about 22 weeks, which is about halfway there, It's been a pretty crazy last four months finding out that we're gonna be parents. Life's kinda gonna be changing and kinda just starting to prep for bringing a new little being into the world. It's all really exciting."
Hamilton and Dirks wed in 2013.
